EgyptAir, a member of Star Alliance, is taking part in the ITB Berlin travel trade show, which kicks off tomorrow, Wednesday, in the German capital and runs from March 6 to 10. EgyptAir is participating through the Egyptian pavilion, organized in coordination with the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority.
Captain Ashraf El-Kholy, chairman of EgyptAir Airlines, stated that EgyptAir's participation this year coincides with the addition of the latest models to the company's fleet, starting with the arrival of the first of six Boeing B787-9 aircraft, known as the "Dreamliner", which is scheduled to be delivered at the end of this March. The Frankfurt route is scheduled to be operated with this new model starting next May.
He added that the company is keen to be present every year at this major gathering to convey a comprehensive picture of how EgyptAir modernizes all its capabilities throughout the year, presenting its latest offers and distinguished services to the public around the world.
Representing EgyptAir at the exhibition's events and panel discussions this year are Amr Abbas, advisor to the head of the Commercial Affairs Sector at EgyptAir Airlines, and Maged Michel, Germany regional manager.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, the company's representatives are holding a number of meetings with major tourism companies participating in the event to boost inbound tourist traffic to Egypt's tourist destinations.
Notably, EgyptAir operates 18 weekly flights to Germany: seven weekly flights to Munich, seven weekly flights to Frankfurt and four weekly flights to Berlin, which will increase to five by next June, in addition to codeshare flights with Germany's Lufthansa.
