Kuwait Airways Explains Ebola Attestation Requirement for US-Bound Passengers from November 3

Kuwait Airways has issued an advisory on new requirements for travel to the United States, taking effect on November 3, 2026. All passengers travelling to US airports must complete a paper or electronic attestation confirming that they have not been in the Democratic Republic of the Congo during the 21 days before boarding or departure.

In the advisory, published on October 28, 2026, the airline said the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) had issued a new order concerning the ongoing Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, introducing additional requirements for passengers travelling to the United States.

The advisory states that passengers will not be permitted to board unless they complete the required attestation, in accordance with the CDC order.

The new requirements apply to all passengers travelling to the United States. Travellers must complete an attestation confirming that they have not been in the Democratic Republic of the Congo during the 21 days preceding their boarding or departure date.

The attestation may be submitted on paper or electronically and must be completed before boarding, in line with the requirements set out in the US order.

When the new requirements take effect

The Ebola attestation requirements take effect on November 3, 2026, as part of measures announced by the CDC concerning the outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
