Madbouly Reviews Proposals to Develop the New Administrative Capital Airport and Surrounding Area
Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting to review several proposals for the development of the New Administrative Capital Airport and its surrounding area.
The meeting was attended by Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance; Dr. Sameh El-Hefny, Minister of Civil Aviation; Eng. Khaled Abbas, Chairman of the Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD); and Said Arafa, Assistant Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade.
Counselor Mohamed Adel, the official spokesperson for the Egyptian Cabinet, stated that the meeting included a review of proposals to establish an integrated investment and logistics zone adjacent to the New Administrative Capital Airport. The proposed zone would serve as a hub for various economic, logistics, and industrial activities.
He noted that several international investors have expressed interest in investing in the area, while other investors have submitted proposals to expand and modernize the airport.
Adel added that the proposals aim to attract more foreign direct investment (FDI) and maximize the utilization of state-owned assets by creating an attractive investment environment and providing the necessary incentives and facilities for investors.
These efforts are expected to support the establishment of diverse projects, accelerate development in the New Administrative Capital, and strengthen its position as an attractive destination for investment and economic activities. The initiatives also aim to create additional job opportunities and support economic growth.
The spokesperson further explained that Prime Minister Madbouly directed the formation of a working group comprising representatives from the relevant ministries and government authorities.
The working group will be responsible for reviewing the submitted offers and proposals, preparing a comprehensive development plan for the airport and its surrounding area, and evaluating available investment alternatives.
The objective is to ensure optimal utilization of the area's resources and assets while maximizing its economic and developmental returns.
