EgyptAir achieved a consolidated net profit of EGP 951 million from the activity of its subsidiaries during the first half of the current fiscal year 2018/2019.

This came during a meeting held today by Lt. Gen. Younis Al-Masry, Minister of Civil Aviation, with Captain Ahmed Adel, Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company, and a number of the company's leaders, to present the plan of EgyptAir Airlines and its future goals until 2025, which are being worked on, with implementation mechanisms and planned timelines set.

For his part, Lt. Gen. Younis Al-Masry praised this achievement, which reflects the efforts of leaders at all levels and all the company's employees, and commended the good planning, the adoption of advanced policies and the unconventional approaches in the development and modernization plan, which is a good indicator of the successful policy the company is currently pursuing, stressing the need to adhere to the comprehensive development plan according to the set timetable.

Captain Ahmed Adel said, while reviewing the business results of the holding company and its subsidiaries, that these results are several times what was achieved for the same period over the past 10 years.

The working team also reviewed EgyptAir Airlines' current and future work plan and development requirements, which include the plan to double the fleet and a project to develop the customer service center to improve quality by contracting a company specialized in this field, as well as updating the e-service website to keep pace with international standards for protecting customers' personal data, with a focus on performance monitoring.

The completion of the company's plan to maximize revenue and rationalize expenses was stressed, along with modernizing the EgyptAir Integrated Operations Control Center (IOCC), the plan to modernize and renovate the company's rest houses during 2019/2020, and studying EgyptAir's representation abroad by linking income to production as a basic criterion for working abroad.
