The agreement was signed by Captain Ashraf El-Kholy, Chairman of EgyptAir Airlines, and Ahmed Issa, CEO of retail banking at CIB. The partnership comes as part of offering a unique package of exclusive benefits and services specially designed to enrich the travel and shopping experience of the bank's current and new customers holding MilesEveryWhere cards.
In this context, Captain Ahmed Adel, Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company, said this cooperation is an important step within the development and modernization strategy pursued by the company. He praised the cooperation with one of the largest banking entities in Egypt, which always works to offer new banking services that help develop the banking market and places its customers' needs at the top of its priorities, noting that by renewing this contract with "CIB" the two sides share one goal, which is attracting more customers.
Adel revealed that as a result of this fruitful cooperation, which has lasted about 4 years, EgyptAir has reached 40,000 joint customers with the bank through this card, and aims to reach more customers in the coming period, noting that coordination is under way between the company and "CIB" to achieve further commercial cooperation.
Adel stressed that EgyptAir cooperates with all major entities and companies in various fields to provide an integrated service to its customers, explaining that the CIB card under this agreement grants its holders air miles every time it is used for purchases inside or outside Egypt, in addition to the benefits of Commercial International Bank credit cards, as well as the benefits of EgyptAir's frequent flyer program, EgyptAir Plus.
For his part, Ahmed Issa, CEO of retail banking at Commercial International Bank, said the renewal of the "MilesEveryWhere" card program is a testament to the success of the fruitful partnership with EgyptAir, as these credit cards, the only ones of their kind in Egypt, were specially designed in cooperation with EgyptAir to enrich the travel and shopping experience of the bank's customers who wish to benefit from the program's advantages, and encourage them to travel with the national carrier.
Issa stated that 494 million miles were added for customers in 2018, and the bank aims to double the number of customers and help them travel using this program. Commercial International Bank is distinguished by offering loyalty programs in appreciation of its customers, as the bank also provides the BONUS points program, which enables them to redeem points for many options such as electronic vouchers for purchases from a wide network of merchants, cash back and charitable donations, to suit customers' needs.
Issa added that the bank is working on expanding the launch of more products and services with exclusive benefits, so that customers can enjoy a unique banking experience.
