Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced access to Global Entry for Saudi citizens, allowing expedited entry into the United States through dedicated trusted-traveller airport channels after meeting programme requirements and obtaining the necessary approvals. Membership is valid for up to five years.
The ministry explained that Global Entry is one of the Trusted Traveler Programs administered by US Customs and Border Protection. It aims to streamline travel procedures and reduce waiting times during entry and security screening, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
It added that extending access to Saudi citizens forms part of stronger bilateral cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the United States, providing a faster and easier travel experience.
How Saudi citizens can apply for Global Entry
The ministry said Saudi citizens wishing to join may apply electronically through the official Trusted Traveler Programs website after meeting initial requirements.
Applications are available at https://ttp.dhs.gov/. The ministry noted that participation requires meeting the conditions and obtaining necessary approvals, with membership valid for up to five years.
Global Entry and TSA PreCheck benefits
The programme enables participating Saudi citizens to benefit from both Global Entry and TSA PreCheck under a single membership.
Benefits include expedited entry into the United States and shorter waits associated with travel procedures and security screening.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry said the programme covers more than 200 airports in the United States in cooperation with over 80 participating airlines.
Its availability forms part of Saudi-US cooperation to facilitate travel for Saudi citizens and provide more convenient options for completing arrival procedures at US airports.
