The Egyptian Tourism Authority participated in IMEX America 2026 in Las Vegas, United States, one of the leading international platforms for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) tourism. The event brings together destinations, hotels, convention centres, destination management companies and event organizers from around the world.
The participation supports the ministry’s efforts to position Egypt as an attractive host for international conferences, meetings and events. It promotes infrastructure and diverse attractions that combine business events with tourism, cultural and leisure experiences, while expanding partnerships with specialist organizers and international institutions.
The Egyptian stand attracted visitors interested in the country’s business-event capabilities and opportunities to organize incentive travel and conferences in Egypt.
The authority’s delegation included Wael Mansour, North America market officer in the Americas Unit of the General Department of Overseas Offices, and Dr. Rehab Samir, a member of the same unit. They met specialist companies and major incentive travel organizers from the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and the United Kingdom, as well as representatives of international associations including the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) and the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE).

The meetings examined cooperation opportunities and Egypt’s capacity to organize and host international events, including the possible addition of Egyptian destinations to incentive travel and professional event programmes.
This year, the ministry’s 100-square-metre stand drew inspiration from Abu Simbel’s temples and the Grand Egyptian Museum. It hosted 10 exhibitors: two hotel establishments and eight Egyptian tourism companies operating in the American market and specializing in incentives and conferences.
Screens at the stand showed promotional films featuring Egypt’s leading attractions and destinations, particularly the Grand Egyptian Museum, demonstrating the variety of experiences available for business and incentive travel programmes.
