The Chamber of Travel and Tourism Companies and Agencies announced in a circular that the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has notified it of new instructions on the entry of citizens of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan to Egypt, effective 1 November 2026. The instructions cancel previous facilitation measures and require them to obtain an entry visa in advance, subject to a set of rules.
The new rules include the following:
Travelers from the three countries aged between 16 and 40 must be accompanied by a family member: a father, mother, husband, wife or child.
Each individual must carry $3,000, and each visiting family must carry $5,000. Travelers' phone numbers, whether from their home countries or Egyptian numbers, must be registered with the tour companies sponsoring them.
Tour companies will prepare a tour program for the groups and collect travelers' passports on arrival in Egypt, returning them on departure.
Companies must report immediately if any member of a tour group fails to depart on the date set in the tour program.
The General Administration of Passports, Immigration and Nationality will record accompanying family members with the head of the family's arrival stamp, and the head of the family must leave with all family members on departure.
Requests from citizens of the three countries to change a tourist visa to any other purpose will not be accepted.
