Egypt Discusses North Coast and New Alamein Packages with Italian Tour Operators

The Egyptian Tourism Authority participated in TTG Travel Experience 2026 in Rimini, Italy, on October 14–15. The event is a leading meeting point for tour operators, tourism companies, airlines and decision-makers in the Italian travel market.

Dr. Ahmed Youssef, the authority’s CEO, opened the Egyptian stand alongside Dr. Nader El-Beblawi, chairman of the Egyptian Travel Agents Association; Mohamed Ayoub, chairman of the Egyptian Hotel Association; and Emad Fathy, head of the authority’s Central Department of Tourist Offices.

The stand attracted strong visitor interest in Egypt’s diverse attractions, tourism programmes and experiences.

During the exhibition, Youssef met leading Italian tour operators and tourism and airline representatives to discuss closer cooperation and increased arrivals from Italy. Talks reviewed growth in Italian arrivals last year and its continuation this year, as well as opportunities to diversify programmes and promote new Egyptian destinations and experiences.

They discussed adding the North Coast and New Alamein to tourism itineraries, alongside desert and oasis exploration, particularly Siwa and Fayoum, and cultural visits to the Grand Egyptian Museum and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.

Discussions also explored itineraries combining several Egyptian destinations in one trip, enriching the visitor experience and showcasing the diversity of the country’s tourism offerings. Improvements to roads and transport have made travel between cities and destinations easier.

This year, the ministry participated with a 300-square-metre stand hosting 32 exhibitors: 17 tourism companies and 15 hotel establishments. Screens showed promotional films highlighting Egypt’s diverse destinations and experiences for different visitor interests. A dedicated area offered free artistic and heritage activities throughout the exhibition, including harp performances and henna painting.
