Minister of Tourism Dr. Rania Al-Mashat today received the award of FVW magazine, considered one of the most important specialized tourism magazines in Germany, for the best tourist destinations of 2019, in which Egypt ranked first among the tourist destinations chosen by Germans for their holidays in Africa and the Middle East.

This came on the sidelines of Egypt's participation in ITB Berlin, currently being held in the German capital, Berlin, from March 6 to 10.
The magazine's editor-in-chief, Klaus Hildebrandt, stressed the importance of the Egyptian destination for German tourists, explaining that inbound tourism from Germany to Egypt has increased by 95% over the past five years.
For her part, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat expressed her appreciation for FVW, considered the most important specialized tourism magazine in Germany, and said this award is a good start to ITB Berlin this year.
Al-Mashat added that this award is an incentive to exert more effort to advance the Egyptian tourism industry, contributing to raising inbound tourist traffic, especially from the German market, one of the most important source markets for tourism to Egypt.
