Ahmed Youssef, head of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority, held many professional meetings with tourism companies, major tour operators and airlines operating in the Spanish and Portuguese markets and Latin American markets, especially the Brazilian and Argentine markets, including meetings with tour operator TUI Spain, the head of the Confederation of Tourism Organizations of Latin America (COTAL) and Brazilian tour operator CVC.

This came on the sidelines of the 39th edition of the FITUR international tourism fair in the Spanish capital, Madrid, held from January 23 to 27.

In a related context, the Egyptian pavilion was visited by King Felipe VI of Spain after the fair's opening, with the participation of Ambassador Omar Selim, Egypt's Ambassador to Spain, as the king toured a number of the pavilions taking part in the fair.

Several official meetings are also scheduled, including one with Isabel Oliver, Secretary of State for Tourism and Spain's top tourism official.

It is worth noting that the first three days of the fair are dedicated to professional meetings for tourism specialists, while the fourth and fifth days are reserved for the public to visit the participating countries' pavilions and learn about the various tourism products.
