As part of achieving sustainable tourism development goals, preserving life under water and on land, and raising the efficiency of the human element, the Diving Chamber, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, is preparing a comprehensive training program for all workers in this activity, especially safari yacht crews and diving guides, to raise the competitiveness of Egyptian tourism.

Workers in this field will be required to receive the training, which will be linked to obtaining a license to practice the profession, to ensure that all workers are familiar with the requirements for preserving the marine environment, and to prevent wrong practices with tourists and marine life.
The training will start through the Chamber of Diving and Water Sports, affiliated with the Egyptian Tourism Federation, by training 1,500 workers on safari boats across all specializations, as well as 450 diving guides, for one day each over 3 months, starting from the second half of this January until next March, in the Red Sea and South Sinai governorates, by experts specialized in this field.
The Ministry of Tourism also agreed with the Diving Chamber to set a group of rules regulating work in this field, and the two sides will communicate to put them into an executive framework applied institutionally and binding on all workers in this field, ensuring the safety of the marine environment and adherence to proper guidelines to preserve it.
