Travel Yalla Tourism, owner of the first online booking website in Egypt, has succeeded in being nominated for the 2019 World Travel Awards (WTA) in the list of travel companies and tour operators in Africa. So far, Travel Yalla is the only company nominated for this award from Egypt, and a certificate to that effect has been approved based on its meeting the international standards for this activity on which the award nominees are selected.
Voting will begin on March 4 and continue until April 21, 2019. The final list of nominees has been announced, and the awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on the first of June in Mauritius.
According to the competition's official website, registration of participants on the website remains open until the day before voting, and last year's winner and two of last year's nominees are requested to stand for the 2019 award.
Travel Yalla Tourism is one of the leading companies, having launched the first Egyptian website offering online tourism bookings at the beginning of 2018, www.travelyalla.com, through which it provides hotel booking, airline ticket and car rental services, in addition to many trip package offers for Egyptians, Arabs and foreigners. It offers its services in both Arabic and English, as well as online payment in four currencies: the Egyptian pound, the Saudi riyal, the US dollar and the euro.

It is worth mentioning that the number of awards in this competition for Africa is 70, contested by hundreds of participants in various fields of travel, tourism and hospitality in Africa, as well as related activities. The awards cover tourist destinations, airlines, hotels and resorts, floating hotels (cruises), car rental (limousine) services, trains, safaris, tour operators and travel and tourism agencies, including those that run online booking websites, private villas for rent, and conference tourism.
This global competition is held annually on every continent through a series of major ceremonies, making it one of the main events in the tourism industry.
