Saudi carrier Riyadh Air has announced that its flights will be limited to six domestic and international destinations via Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Qassim from October 25, 2026, until further notice. The destinations are Cairo, Dhaka, Jeddah, London Heathrow, Lahore and Islamabad. Complimentary buses are available to transfer passengers from Riyadh to Qassim Airport.
In an update on its website, the airline said the new operating arrangements cover flights to and from all six destinations. It urged passengers to review their booking details and confirm their departure airport before travelling.
Destinations served via Qassim
The announced destinations are Cairo in Egypt; Dhaka in Bangladesh; Jeddah in Saudi Arabia; London Heathrow in the United Kingdom; and Lahore and Islamabad in Pakistan. Riyadh Air said the arrangements would remain in place until further notice, without specifying when its previous operating schedule would resume.
Complimentary buses from Riyadh to Qassim Airport
Passengers with existing bookings can begin their journey in Riyadh by checking in and dropping off their baggage at the InterContinental Durrat Al Riyadh Resort, before taking a complimentary bus to Qassim Airport for their flight.
According to the official guidance, check-in at the resort opens eight hours and 15 minutes before departure and closes six hours and 30 minutes before departure. Buses leave six hours and 15 minutes before the flight, and the journey to Qassim takes approximately four hours and 30 minutes.
Passengers may also travel directly to Qassim Airport, where they must arrive at least three hours before departure. Airport check-in and baggage drop close one hour and 15 minutes before take-off.
Existing and new bookings
Riyadh Air advised passengers with existing bookings to check the departure airport shown in their updated booking details. Customers making new bookings should select Qassim Airport, code ELQ, as their departure airport.
