Magdy Shalaby, head of the Companies Sector at the Ministry of Tourism and head of the Higher Committee for Hajj and Umrah, said the grace period for tourist Hajj companies for the 1440 AH/2019 season to register their clients' names on the unified portal of the Interior Ministry's Administrative Affairs Sector has been extended until 5 p.m. today, Monday, for companies that activated their booking deposit receipts by the deadline set for them yesterday, Sunday.
It is worth noting that the Interior Ministry's unified Hajj portal suffered a breakdown from noon yesterday, Sunday, until close to midnight, leaving tourism companies unable to enter the names of their clients applying for the tourist Hajj lottery, for which the registration deadline was 11:59 p.m. yesterday, Sunday. The number of tourism companies set to organize Hajj programs reached 1,964.
