Egyptian National Railways announced the switch to winter time from midnight on Thursday, October 29. To maintain orderly train operations during the clock change, it adopted the following arrangements:
Trains departing their origin stations between 23:00 and 23:59 before the clock change, and trains already running when the clocks change, will be treated as running ahead of schedule until they reach their final destinations.
Departures from Cairo station for the following trains will be adjusted to winter time:
Train 1902, air-conditioned Alexandria–Aswan: 00:20.
Train 3006, air-conditioned Alexandria–Aswan: 00:50.
Train 934, Alexandria–Luxor: 01:10.
Egyptian National Railways urged passengers to take account of the new time arrangements to ensure smooth journeys and timely arrival at their destinations.
