With the 2019 mid-year school holiday approaching, and to encourage domestic tourism, Misr Company for Sound, Light and Tourism Development announced additional daily shows in Arabic at all five sound and light sites: the Pyramids, Abu Simbel, Philae, Karnak and Edfu, with the aim of spreading cultural and tourism awareness among Egyptians and Arab brothers, especially the young generation.

In this context, Sameh Saad, head of Misr Sound and Light Company, stated that this measure is followed every year, with additional daily sound and light shows held in Arabic to give every Egyptian and Arab the opportunity to attend and enjoy the show, adding that discounts are given to groups, whether schools, universities, organizations, syndicates or any other body organizing a trip to the sound and light shows.
Saad explained that the additional show starts at the Pyramids area at 5:30 p.m., at Karnak at 6 p.m., at Philae Temple on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 9 p.m., and at Edfu and Abu Simbel daily based on advance bookings.

Saad added that family tickets are available for the second year in a row at all sound and light sites, given their success during last year's holiday. A ticket for 5 people costs EGP 200 instead of EGP 325, and a ticket for 4 people costs EGP 180 instead of EGP 260, to encourage Egyptian and Arab families. He pointed out that simultaneous interpretation through headphones is available for foreign tourists, giving them the opportunity to enjoy the show in their own language free of charge.
